A little about us at Tarboo Valley Bees.

Growing up on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula my parents taught us how to live off the land.

Back in the early 1970's, there was talk about a possible sugar shortage.  Our mother, who came through the great depression, had the insight to be prepared for the worst and bought her first hive of bees.

Over the next few years she was always ready to catch a swarm at a moment's notice.  Many times my sister, Gloria, and I were called upon to assist in the retrieval of her bounty.  Out of my mothers love of honeybees, many members of our family also enjoy the hobby of beekeeping.

In 1979, with one strong hive and "hand me down" bee equipment, I became an official beekeeper.  Through the years, my family and friends have encouraged my vision of having a beekeeping business become a reality.  Out of this also came a way for me to share my passion with the community.  In  2008,  I helped form a bee club in Jefferson County.  We now offer classes which are certified through Washington State Beekeepers Association.  We work hand in hand with a local 4-H club, educating youth in honeybee husbandry.
Each spring, we travel to one of the top Apiaries in California, to provide the beekeepers in our area with strong healthy bees.  We have earned a solid reputation for honesty and outstanding service.   Tarboo Valley Bees is committed to providing you with the highest quality bee stock and equipment, at the most competitive price.
