• Italian queens form the backbone of Oliverez Honey Bees.
• We are proud to note that OHB's Italian line has been influenced over the years by queens purchased from breeders Art Banta, Homer Park, Lloyd Penner and John Tollett. We have identified the best traits bred into their queens and added them to ours.
• We choose our breeder queens based on the hive's performance in honey production, gentleness, brood rearing viability and overall ability to overwinter healthy and heavy.
• We have taken special care of our Italians and they are the best of the best.

• These Instrumentally Inseminated Breeder Queens Come from Glenn Apiaries.
• These breeder queens are a blend of Minnesota Hygienic x VSH stock.
• The queens from these breeders are open mated with all of OHB stock and they have proven to be very good queens.

• Tarboo Valley Bees purchases some of their bees from Olivarez Honey Bees, which has three sources for Instrumentally Inseminated Breeder Queens: Strachan Apiaries "New World Carniolan", Latshaw Apiaries "Karnica", Glenn Apiaries "Carniolan x VSH"
• Carniolans are known for their winter hardiness, rapid spring build-up and great honey production.
• Carniolans show great resistance to tracheal mites and are great comb builders.

Here at Tarboo Valley Bees, package bee days are very exciting.  We have a lot of fun visiting with all of our friends, family and customers and enjoy hearing about all of their bee adventures from the last year.  We run our business as a family affair, so bring your whole family when you pick up your bees and join in on the fun.  Here are a few family members you will meet at TVB.
